A 37-year-old Bennington man was arrested Tuesday, September 15, following the execution of a search warrant by the Bennington Police Department.

During the search, officers removed illegal narcotics, prescription medication and 93 firearms from the residence, according to the Bennington Police Department.

A cluttered storage room filled with numerous firearms leaning against the wall, including rifles and handguns, alongside baskets and bags containing additional items.

The children living in the home were removed and placed with relatives while the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services conducts an investigation.

Police said the case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed. The department is not releasing further information at this time due to the early stage of the investigation.
