Bennington Post 266 continued its strong summer campaign with a commanding 11-1 victory over Jordan’s Studio Post 331 on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The away win served as a sharp rebound after a lower-energy loss the night before, showcasing the team’s resilience.
In the contest, Bennington erupted for 11 runs on 11 hits. Kellen Mlnarik led the charge at DH, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a game-high five RBIs. Multiple teammates contributed offensively: Braydan Kloster, Brendon Da Luz, Baylor Uhing, and Dominic Driggs each recorded multiple hits or key extra-base production, helping the Seniors build a commanding lead early. On the mound, Brandt Schmidt delivered a solid three innings of work (3.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 5 SO), while Max Swoboda followed with two scoreless innings to close it out.
The victory capped a busy stretch that included an impressive showing at a tournament in Kansas City last week.

“We played really well down in the KC tournament,” head coach Collin McClain said. “We had 43 hits in 5 games, including 7 home runs, so it was fun to just sit back and watch them play good baseball. We ended up making the semi-finals of that tournament, so it was an impressive run.”
McClain noted that the team has handled challenges effectively throughout the season. Following Tuesday’s 3-6 loss against Elkhorn South’s Navy Storm team with Wednesday’s turnaround, McClain commented, “This team continues to respond to adversity well. We dropped a game Tuesday night where we didn’t have our best energy, but Wednesday night responded well with an 11-1 win over Omaha South.”
The coach highlighted ongoing development in baserunning as a key area of focus. “We are continuing to work on our baserunning overall. We are starting to get more comfortable being aggressive, but now it’s trying to learn situational aggressiveness.”

Looking ahead, Bennington will enjoy home-field advantage as it hosts a pool in the Battle of Omaha tournament. “This week we host a pool in the Battle of Omaha tournament, so that will be exciting for us to be at our own park and play some new teams that we haven’t seen before,” McClain added.
With strong offensive output, timely pitching, and a proven ability to bounce back, Bennington Post 266 enters the next stretch of its schedule carrying positive momentum from both the Kansas City tournament and Wednesday’s decisive victory. Fans can follow the team’s progress through the ongoing summer Legion slate.
