Badger Buddies 4-H Club typically meets one Sunday per month at 5:00pm in the Bennington Library conference center.
On February 22, 2026 the meeting opened by reviewing old business and thanking the 2025 club officers. The Special Garden Project this year is the Alumia Vanilla Cream Marigold and the Special Agronomy Project is popcorn. The theme this year is 4-H Has Heart. 4-H enrollment is open until June 15! Upcoming events were discussed. The Washington County Fair will July 30-August 5. 4-H will also have Summer Camps, Exploring Ecosystems. Parliamentary Procedure was reviewed last month during a presentation that included voting for ingredients to create trail mix. New club officers were elected for the 2026 year using this procedure.
On March 22, 2026, the club met and reviewed upcoming dates. The 4-H Public Speaking contest is scheduled for April 13. Members can sign up for a radio PSA, prepared speech, impromptu speech, illustration presentation, among other options. Ideas were discussed for helping the Bennington Community this year. Some ideas were picking up trash, planting new
grass seed, donating to add lights to the softball fields, adding trashcans, and helping the Flower Posse. The meeting ended with a presentation on flag etiquette in preparation for America’s Semiquincentennial.
The next meeting was held April 26 at 5:00pm at the Bennington Library.
