Bennington Public Schools has shared that Bennington Elementary student Logan Rahn passed away Saturday after sustaining injuries in a scooter accident involving a vehicle last week.

In a message sent to district families, BPS also shared that Logan gave the gift of life through organ donation.

To support students and families, members of the district’s Crisis Response Team will be available at Bennington Elementary on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for students who may need additional support. The district has also provided a child grief resource for parents to help guide conversations with their children during this difficult time.

School officials encouraged families to remember that everyone processes grief differently and emphasized the importance of supporting one another and allowing children to express their feelings in healthy ways.
