The Bennington Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents to enjoy a free evening of baseball, family fun and community connection at an upcoming Omaha Storm Chasers game.
The Chamber has partnered with the Storm Chasers to provide complimentary tickets for Bennington residents to attend the team’s game at Werner Park on Sunday, June 28, at 5 p.m.
According to Chamber Coordinator Kelsay Brohimer, the idea stemmed from a desire to create a unique experience for local families.
“We wanted to create something special for Bennington residents, a chance to come together and enjoy a fun, memorable evening without any barriers,” Brohimer said. “The Stormchasers offered a wonderful opportunity for us to partner together and we thought it was such a great opportunity!”
While the game itself promises an entertaining evening, Chamber leaders see the event as part of a larger effort to strengthen community connections as Bennington continues to grow.
“Our goal is connection within our community,” Brohimer said. “Bennington is growing, and that’s exciting, but we never want to lose that small-town feeling that makes this community so special.”
Brohimer said preserving that sense of community has become a priority as new residents continue to move into the city.
“People here genuinely care about their neighbors, and we want to nurture that,” she said.
The Chamber has focused on finding opportunities that bring residents together and create shared experiences.
“We’ve been very intentional about finding new ways to bring Bennington together as the city grows,” Brohimer said. “Growth is wonderful, but it can sometimes dilute that close-knit culture if you’re not actively working to preserve it.”
She added that community-focused events and partnerships will continue to be a focus moving forward.
“As for what’s next, we’re always continuing to look for partnerships and events that create those same kinds of shared experiences,” Brohimer said. “There’s more to come, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going.”
How to Get Tickets
Residents can reserve tickets by scanning the QR code below or by visiting the online registration link: https://www.gofevo.com/event/2026FremontBlairBenningtonCommunityNight

The process requires users to sign up through the Chamber’s ticket portal and create or log into an MLB account. From there, attendees can select their seats and claim their tickets.
Tickets may be reserved in groups of up to four during a single registration. Families needing additional tickets can complete the process a second time to secure seats for everyone in their group. Chamber organizers say they have purchased plenty of tickets and encourage residents not to hesitate to reserve enough for their entire family.
Those registering should be aware that tickets are not delivered instantly. While some may receive them sooner, it can take approximately an hour for tickets to appear in an MLB account after completing the registration process.
The Chamber hopes the event will provide an opportunity for neighbors, friends and families to spend time together while celebrating the strong sense of community that continues to define Bennington.
