As Bennington continues to grow, new housing developments are helping meet the needs of residents looking for flexible living options while remaining connected to the community. One of the newest additions, Redwood Living’s Redwood Bennington neighborhood, recently celebrated its grand opening with the Bennington Chamber of Commerce during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Thursday, April 30.
According to Stacey Pate, Regional Manager at Redwood, the company was drawn to Bennington because of the community’s continued growth and welcoming atmosphere.
“Bennington stood out to us because of its strong sense of community, growing appeal within the Omaha metro area and the desire for high-quality housing options that offer both convenience and neighborhood connection,” Pate said. “It is a community where people want room to grow while still staying close to everything they need, which aligns well with Redwood’s approach to apartment living.”

Pate said the project took approximately five years to complete from the earliest planning stages through the ribbon cutting. She noted that developments of this scale require coordination between multiple teams within the company, including acquisitions, construction, development, leasing and maintenance.
“We are proud to see that vision come to life in Bennington and welcome residents home,” she added.
As Bennington has expanded in recent years, Pate said Redwood Bennington was designed to support that growth by providing additional housing choices for residents throughout different stages of life.
“This neighborhood helps meet demand for flexible housing options for a wide range of residents,” Pate explained. “That includes young professionals, families, empty nesters and those looking to downsize without sacrificing comfort, privacy or quality.”

She added that the neighborhood’s single-story apartment homes offer residents “the feel of a home with the convenience of renting.”
Beyond the housing itself, Pate emphasized the importance of becoming part of the local community long-term.
“Being part of the community goes far beyond building apartment homes,” Pate said. “We believe it is important to be a long-term partner in Bennington by supporting local organizations, building relationships and contributing positively to the area’s continued success.”
She also highlighted Redwood’s paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, which encourages employees to support local causes and organizations throughout the region. “We believe it is important to be a long-term partner in Bennington by supporting local organizations, building relationships and contributing positively to the area’s continued success… We look forward to seeing them engaged in the community and building lasting connections throughout the region.”

While no future developments have been officially announced, Pate said Redwood continues evaluating opportunities in growing communities like Bennington. “We’ve been proud to grow our presence in the Omaha market, and Bennington is a natural extension of that momentum,” she said.
Looking ahead, Pate said the company hopes residents feel an immediate sense of comfort and belonging when moving into the neighborhood.
“Our goal is to create a neighborhood where people experience comfort, privacy, convenience and pride in where they live,” she said. “We want Redwood Bennington to be a place where residents can truly enjoy their home and feel connected to the surrounding community.”
