The Bennington Badgers have been lighting it up in the EMC tournament this past week. The boys’ team kicked things off with a commanding 82-29 victory over Blair on December 20, dominating every quarter with hot shooting and strong defense. Unfortunately, they fell 57-79 to Elkhorn North on December 23 in a hard-fought battle where the Wolves pulled ahead early and maintained control. With that result, the boys will shift to the consolation bracket and play next on December 30 at 10:00 AM to fight for the second place title.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Badgers remain undefeated and are charging toward the title. They cruised to a 61-30 win over Elkhorn on December 20, led by standout performances from Macie Reiner and Harper Bohaboj. They followed that up with an impressive 80-46 victory over Elkhorn North on December 23, exploding for 49 points in the second half behind Reiner’s monster 34-point game. This win propels them into the championship game on December 30 at 3:15 PM.

Great job to both teams for representing Bennington proudly. Go Badgers!
