Congratulations to Tye Hanke, Vocal Music Teacher at Bennington High School, and Melinda Gansebom, Preschool Paraprofessional at Anchor Pointe Elementary, for being selected as Bennington Public School District’s November Shine Your Light Award recipients! This monthly award honors staff members who go above and beyond, make a difference for colleagues or students, or simply shine brightly in their roles. Nominations come from colleagues, parents and students, with two to three staff chosen each month.

Mr. Hanke is praised for his energetic and dedicated approach, helping every student feel connected and valued while bringing joy through his positive personality, humor, and countless hours of extra support. Mrs. Gansebom is celebrated as a powerhouse of joy and encouragement, creating a warm and uplifting classroom environment with her constant energy, kindness and readiness to help wherever needed.
